VETERINARIANS
Domesticated rabbits are very special creatures. They are different from dogs and cats in some important ways, so it is important that you find a vet who is knowledgeable about their medical care.
The following is a list of veterinarians located near the Oregon coast, and farther inland, including the surrounding Portland-metro area, who see bunnies at their practice. We are not making claims about the competency of any of these vets, or promoting them, unless otherwise noted.
EMERGENCY CARE
There are no emergency vets near Cannon Beach. If you find a rabbit who is having difficulty breathing, is screaming, or is gravely injured, please bring them to any local vet (see below) that is open as quickly as possible so their suffering may be alleviated.
If you suspect the rabbit can be saved and will likely survive the drive, you may take them to an urgent care hospital in the Portland-Metro area. Here are a few locations:
Try to (safely) call first to ensure a rabbit-savvy vet is on staff and let them know you are on your way.
